Baby Kicks

I have been feeling the baby kicking me pretty much everyday now. It's basically just a few taps here and there and it's not all the time. Well, my sister-in-law let me borrow a monitor that's suppose to allow you to hear the baby's heart beat. I haven't heard much of anything but it's fun to just listen and hear what the baby hears. Anyway, last night I was playing with this thing and as I moved it around, I would feel the little kicks (taps) in the same area. Once I was done listening, I laid there flat on my back and I put my hand on the baby. I actually felt the baby kick my hand! I couldn't believe it! I got to feel it at least 2 times! Eric was asleep and I woke him up to tell him. It's not anything that Eric can feel just yet because it's not something that happens all the time. Plus, most of the little kicks are still only something that only I can feel. This was just one of those moments and I may not feel this again for awhile especially since I'm just over 18 weeks along. It was just an exciting thing to actually feel the kicks on my hand. Now I'll probably be obsessed and try to feel it all the time. It's definitely an interesting feeling. I can't for him to feel the baby move.

More Baby Stuff

Well, my trip to Pensacola was well worth the trip. The big sale that my mom and I went to was not what we expected. There was alot of stuff but the prices weren't real good and we even found that some used things are better off not buying. We found a Sealy mattress for $20 and as we were making sure it was in good shape, we found dried puke in the seams. Nasty! Plus, the lines to check out were really long. I'm glad that we went to see what was there but it just didn't work out. I did come back with a baby tub that my friend gave me, a swing, bouncer and the cradle that we're going to use in our room once the baby gets here. I was also able to get some cute maternity clothes especially since Spring is right around the corner. I should have enough to last me unless I really get huge.

I'm going to get a few belly pics soon. My belly is starting to grow a little but I'm still not real big (thank goodness). I have to wait until Eric gets back into town on Sunday so he can take the pictures. Then, I will eventually get more as time goes by so we can see the progress.

Dan's New Toy

My brother got his new BMW Z4 this past weekend. He drove over to Pensacola to pick it up on Saturday. My parents and I all got to go for a short spin (one at a time of course). It's pretty spiffy!

Another Doctor's Appointment

I went to see the doctor again and everything is still going well. The heart rate is strong and normal. I have started feeling baby movements every once in awhile. It's definitely a strange feeling. I don't feel it all the time and sometimes it will be a couple of days before I feel something again but when I feel it, I know what it is now. I will have an ultrsound in 4 weeks and we'll be able to see more of the little munchkin growing inside of me. I can't wait!
