Going to Tampa

We're going to Tampa this weekend for a wedding. My friend Jennifer is getting married Saturday on Anna Maria Island. It should be very pretty.
We fly in this afternoon and we are getting together with a bunch of our friends to have dinner at Stonewood Grill. I am really looking forward to seeing everyone again and catching up.

Carpet is Gone!

The "white" carpet in the master bedroom is gone! It looks much better and I can't wait to see the new wood floor. We have decided to go with the 1 1/2 inch wide red oak floors. They will match the rest of the house so it should look great. We wanted it to be as close to the original floors as possible. The floor is being delivered tomorrow so it can acclimate for a week. The floors should be installed around the 15th. Here are some pictures of the room right now.

Official Noogans

Eric and I went down to the local DMV this morning to get our driver's license. No big deal right? Wrong! My picture on my license is awful! I have never had a picture this bad. I sat down in front of the camera and the lady said, "Ready on the count of three". I smiled and waited for three but three came and went. It was more like four or maybe five and then the flash. So, when I thought the photo was finished, it wasn't and it got me with a goofy look on my face. I was very unhappy.
After that disappointment, I headed towards the registration place to get a new tag. As soon as I get there, the lady tells me that I have to have an emissions test and sent me BACK to the DMV. Crazy! I get there and the sign says cash only. Cash only?! Oh my gosh! I had to go find an ATM to get the money for the stupid test. Once the test was completed (I passed by the way) I went back to get the tag. FINALLY!!! While I was there, a woman next to me in another line was renewing her tag. She must have been 90 years old. I didn't really think too much about it until I was behind her on the road driving 20 MPH in a 45 MPH zone. Way to go TN! Just let anyone drive. Good Grief!
So, I have been telling myself that everyone here in Chattanooga must have awful license pictures, especially if they go to the same place we went to. Eric's didn't turn out any better. He looks like some kind of predator in his picture.
Anyway. I'm glad that's over and now I have my TN tag and a hideous license.
To top it all off, I was asked to show that ridiculous license 3 more times today! And, because it's the worst picture ever, I know that people at stores or restaurants are gonna ask for my ID and it'll make me cringe everytime I have to pull that stupid thing out. Swell!

Update on the Puppies

In case anyone was wondering, Clenna and Tia did not get the puppies. :( We waited for the girl to call but never heard anything. Hopefully the puppies have nice, loving home.

Abbey Found Her Tail

This is a test! I just wanted to see if I could upload movies from my camera. Abbey was my first volunteer. I was sitting at my computer when I heard her making a lot of noise. She had managed to squeeze her plump body into a small shoebox and was attacking her tail. The poor shoebox is busting out on all sides. She's a nut!

The Fence is Finally Finished

Yesterday, Tucker got to enjoy his new backyard and he loved it! I loved it! I think I was a little more excited than he was. We have been waiting for this day for a very long time. The end result was definitely worth the wait. We are so happy with the new fence. Plus, it's cedar so it smells great! The only thing we have to do is make the the gates doggy proof. I know that Tucker does goofy things and acts like he isn't bright but it won't take long for him to figure out how the handles work. He can be pretty sneaky. The last thing we need is the big brown beast wandering the neighborhood.
