We are in the House

Yesterday, the movers came and moved us into our new home. Finally!!!! They were there for about 6 hours. It was a long day. We stayed there last night with our critters. Abbey is still adjusting but I think she likes it. Tucker acted like he had never seen her before and followed her around forever. I did some unpacking today and it is starting to feel like home. I love it. My computer is currently at the apartment so I haven't really been over there to upload any pictures but I will as soon as I can.
I am leaving tomorrow for Tampa. Amy gets married on Saturday. Another busy but fun weekend. Also, we are getting Sadie May on Sunday. Very exciting. Tucker will be happy to see her (we hope). After this weekend, everything should slow down a bit and I can focus more on the house and make it pretty. I will have more pics of our happy home soon.

I'm a Turtle Hero...Again

I was driving back to the apartment this morning when I saw a little turtle trying to cross the road. I knew (of course) that I had to stop and save his little life. Good thing it wasn't a really busy road. I had no problem scooping him up. He thanked me in my car by peeing on me. Isn't that great?! It was definitely worth it! He's so cute. Now I just have to find a knew home for him. I don't have my camera with me right now but I will get a picture of him before I send him on his way.

The Wedding

We had a blast at Ryan and Sue's wedding. Everything worked out perfect especially since the day before the wedding was raining and nasty. The day of the wedding, the sun came out and it was a beautiful day. Here are some pictures of the day. BTW..the picture of the school bus is how the guests got to the wedding from the hotel. How great is that!?
Also, it's pretty funny to see the guys pinning on their boutonnieres. Eric almost got stabbed by the groom!

btw..obviously NOT a jewish wedding!

Ryan and Sue's Wedding

I'll be on way to New Hampshire tomorrow for Ryan and Sue's wedding on 7/20. It's gonna be a really great time and I'm looking forward to it. They are getting married at the Seacoast Science Center on the ocean.
Ryan was one of the best men in our wedding and has been friends with Eric since college. Eric is a groomsmen and they are all wearing kilts. I've never seen him in a kilt. I'm sure he'll look good especially since he has nice legs. HAHA!
They are a great couple and I'm sure they will be happy together. Congratulations!

Tucker and Sadie

This is the video from when Tucker and Sadie first met back in May. I tried to put it on the website before but had problems. So, I finally got it to work. We still don't have Sadie yet. A lot of the work on the house changed our schedule a bit so we decided to wait until we were in the house before we bring her home. We wanted the transition to to be smooth and easy on her rather than moving her around from place to place. Hopefully, we'll bring her home at the end of the month after we move in and are done traveling. I can't wait!

Dining Room

We started bringing boxes over to the house and did some cleaning to get ready for the big move. We are hoping to start moving in around the 23rd. I'm so excited!
We also were able to bring in some of the dining room furniture and get that set up. The table still needs a little bit of work so we'll be bringing that in soon but the hutch and the buffet look really nice against the yellow walls. It's finally staring to feel like a home. Plus, we got the rest of our appliances and they are in perfect condition. The plumber is coming by tomorrow to get everything hooked and then I will get some pictures of the lovely kitchen.

Finishing Touches

We had new windows put in the front of the house today. The living room, guest bedroom and guest bathroom all got new windows. The old ones either didn't work well or didn't work at all. It's a major improvement and looks really nice.

The floor guys also came back today to put the final coat on. We were having the living room, dining room, kitchen and master bedroom done. Fortunately for us, one of the guys sanding the floors accidentally sanded into the hallway so they're gonna do that as a bonus. It should look awesome when they're finished. This is one of the last big things that needed to get done. Now, the only thing we're waiting for are appliances and countertops. We are planning on moving in on the 23rd of July. Very exciting!
