My feet have been doing better. The swelling really depends on how active I have been during the day. Some days are worse than others and some I barely notice much. They definitely are sore most of the time.
I've been feeling pretty good. Every once in awhile I get tired especially if I've had a busy day. I am up every couple hours in the night to go to the bathroom. That's not much fun. I am able to go back to sleep so that's good. Sometimes I'll wake up and look at the time and if it's been a couple of hours since my last bathroom visit, I just get up and go anyway. It's become part of my nightly routine. Joy.
I had an interesting moment yesterday. I washed some of the baby's clothes and as I was folding them and putting them away, I felt really weird. I've never folded such tiny clothes before and it really hit me that we're going to have a little baby. It was crazy! Obviously we're having a baby! We have been preparing for awhile now, buying a stroller and car seat, a swing, bouncer and spending time in the baby's room getting it ready. Not to mention my growing belly! However, yesterday with the clothes, I definitely had a WOW moment. It wasn't a bad feeling or scary feeling. Just a reality check. Pretty crazy!
So, the stroller and car seat that I mentioned is sitting in the guest room waiting to be used. I put it together several weeks ago and I'm glad I did. It had that new, funky plastic smell.
I found out last week that the base for the car seat was recalled. Good grief! I thought I was going to have to take it back but I'm eventually going to be sent a new base and we can still use our current base with the seat belt. The base has a latch system that is defective and not the base itself. So, we will have two bases. That will be nice to each have one in our car.
Other than that, the baby's room is still not finished but it will be soon. The closet is back to normal, the curtains are up and it's not as cluttered. My parents come up a week from today and we will be adding some finishing touches. Hopefully I will get some pictures to post. I can't wait to see it finally finished!
